The facts
In the ten year period to 2007, the percentage of males in the available workforce between 25 and 34 will decrease by 22.5% whilst those aged between 55 and 64 will rise by 25%. Even men over 65 available to work will increase by 8%.

The corresponding figures for women are even more amazing with a 40% increase forecast for the 55-64 category and +16% for over 65s.

Employers will simply have no choice. The balance of age in nearly every company will have to change to match the pool of available workers.
